Other traits create additional challenges: Defensiveness - "I am emotionally intelligent. This isn't something that I need to work on. Skepticism - "Great, another course where I have to talk about my feelings. Seriously, do you think lawyers are going to sit around in a circle and be vulnerable? The short answer is no. Our content, curriculum, and community forums are designed to meet the needs of individuals working either as a lawyer or within the legal sector. We do, however, offer micro-courses and workshops for lawyers throughout our learning modules. Lawyers experience situations that need specialized attention, reflection, and support. We address those unique needs alongside of others present within larger legal ecosystems.

Emotional intelligence (EQ) describes how we perceive, understand, and regulate our emotions. Our individual EQ drives how we establish and maintain a relationship with our self, manage our own emotions, act in ways that align with our core values, and regulate the impact of stress on our minds and bodies. Relational intelligence (RQ) encompasses our ability to establish and maintain healthy relationships with others. It’s activated when we expand beyond our individual EQ to establish and maintain relationships with others, practice empathetic awareness of others’ emotions, and regulate our internal emotional states during human-to-human interactions.

Many legal professionals want to increase their emotional intelligence (EQ) to reach relational intelligence (RQ) outcomes, like: Improving lawyer/client interactions Increasing client satisfaction and retention Developing leadership skills to become a transformative leader These outcomes require developing EQ first, then progressing into RQ-focused learning. In today's fast-paced legal environments, it's natural to want jump ahead to material that promises to produce the desired RQ outcomes. While EQ and RQ are deeply interconnected, taking time to develop EQ is the necessary first step towards building RQ. We must first repair the relationship with our self - our own emotional awareness, understanding, and integration - before we can progress to improving our interactions and relationships with others.

Konora guarantees that 100% of our unique EQ/RQ development model, as well as the courses, content, and curriculum available to our members, are created by qualified subject matter (human) experts. We do not use AI or employ AI agents to create our members-only content collection or program models.
